Natasha Gonzalez
With more than 25 years of experience in transportation, including 13 years as an FAA air traffic controller and manager guiding aircraft across U.S. and Caribbean skies, Natasha Gonzalez brings a unique perspective on aviation, STEM, and career exploration. Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Natasha’s path into aviation began through her high school aviation program and an OBAP ACE Camp experience that introduced her to air traffic control. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace from Middle Tennessee State University and work in Memphis and San Juan, PR.
After leaving the FAA in 2016 to raise her two sons, Natasha transformed her passion for transportation and education into entrepreneurship, founding TransportEd STEM Education to create immersive, transportation-themed STEM experiences for students. Today, she inspires students and educators through hands-on learning, career exploration, and interactive STEM curriculum that help young people see themselves as future problem-solvers and innovators.
My Why...
I have spent over 2 decades experiencing firsthand what happens when people, technology, communication, and decision-making come together to move the world. Today, TransportEd STEM Education brings those experiences directly to the next generation. We give students the opportunity to explore transportation systems, discover the careers behind them, solve real-world problems, and begin to see where they might fit in the future.
