Announcement: A line of severe thunderstorms has developed across the NW United States. All flights traveling through this region must be rerouted to KCLT.
Student Action:
Review routes. If your flight travels through the affected area, update the route of flight.
Event #3
Alternate Airport Assigned
Announcement:
Weather at the destination is deteriorating. Dispatch has filed an alternate airport.
Student Action:

Add the alternate airport to the flight plan.
Event #2
New Cruising Altitude
Announcement: Due to favorable winds, dispatch has requested a new cruising altitude.
Example:
FL350 to FL390
Student Action:

Update the requested cruising altitude.
Event #4
Aircraft Change
Announcement:
The airline has substituted a different aircraft type for the flight. due to maintenance.
Student Action:

Update the aircraft type on the flight plan.
Event #5
East Coast Ground Delay
Announcement: Heavy traffic and low clouds are causing delays at several airports along the U.S. West Coast. Flights destined for airports in this region will depart 30 minutes later than scheduled.
Student Action:
If your destination is on the West Coast, update your departure time.
